Dr. Morrow is a graduate of the Blanton Peale Graduate Institute in New York City. He received his clinical residency certificate from that institution after a four-year full-time program. He also holds a Doctoral degree in Pastoral Psychology; his Master's degree is from Yale University. He has been a resident of Fort Myers, FL, since 1974 when he became the organizing director of the Counseling and Growth Center. He began a private practice in 1987 following 12 years at the Center. He is licensed by the state of Florida as a Marriage and Family Therapist. He is a trained practitioner of Clinical Hypnosis. He is also an ordained Presbyterian clergyman.

The book is a collection of creative essays on marriage and family relationships, written as a reflection on thirty years of clinical practice. For ten years Dr. Morrow’s column on “Relationships” has been carried by the Ft Myers New-Press. In the book he brings together lessons learned over the years, including from his own personal family life. Most of the essays entail a light-hearted look at the eternal and seriously complex psychodynamics between men and women. In the language of today’s health care industry, the individual writings and their overall purpose are “solution oriented”. Dr. Morrow specializes in relationship counseling, clinical hypnosis, psychotherapy for emotional difficulties of family living, including divorce. He seeks to provide solutions to personal problems that utilize the positive strengths of the patient. He is interested and experienced in utilizing self-hypnosis in helping persons who are dealing with anxiety and stress, including issues of pain, insomnia, irritable bowel syndrome, weight management, and how to prepare for the stress surrounding surgery.
